Four years ago, I was full of hope. I was a graduating high school student who had proudly survived difficult situations with help from good friends and inNumerable chocolate bars.
With my innocence came the eagerness to learn and the drive to explore. I was thrilled to start another phase in my life, that was college.
Four years have passed; while the hope remains, it’s slowly fading. Exactly two months ago, I was a graduating Mass Communication student, who proudly survived difficult situations with help from good friends, old and new, and less chocolate bars.
With my idealism was the desire to stir change in society and the fear to do so. I was — and I still am — anxious to enter another phase in my life, the so-called “real world”. •
