Real beauty
The way we see ourselves reflects how we see the world.
Often, we become too critical of ourselves that we deny and reject the beauty and wonder that is us.
In the latest Dove advertisement, forensic artist Gil Zamora met a number of women, who were hidden behind a curtain, and asked them to describe their facial features in full detail. He drew their portraits based on their self-description.
Similarly, he drew portraits of each of the women based on how they were described by others. The differences were remarkable.
This is such a powerful social experiment. And Dove caps it wonderfully with the line, “You are more beautiful than you think.” •
