If I die young
Hello, you.
I have known you for quite some time now yet it still feels like there’s a lot to learn about you. You are a wonderful, wonderful person, and I adore you.
For the many times I took your feelings for granted, I apologize. You are ambitious, skilled, motivated, and passionate about your craft — something you definitely must brush off to everyone! — but I never appreciated these. I was never there to support you. All I saw were the little mistakes you do once in a while, which barely tainted the end results anyway. I always made a big deal out of your flaws and imperfections and demanded so much from you, without ever realizing that you are good enough. I was your worst critic, because I know you can do so much more. I am sorry; I asked so much from you that I lost you. And, yes, you are good enough. You are a perfect mess.
I believe him when he says you are lovely. You are lovely. As well, you are caring, understanding, and gentle — and all that you meet can attest to this. You have a beautiful mind and a beautiful heart. I know no one else like you who forgives easily and holds no judgment against others, even those who hurt them.
You are a decent, fine being. You are well-mannered and sweet. You are grounded in your values, firm in your principles, and hopeful in your goals. A go-getter, you know what you want but you nevertheless play fair.
Do not let others define you, or make you feel like you are a loser — because you are not. You should know very well that you are intelligent and wise, you are beautiful, and you are brave and strong. These are the characteristics not any genetic makeup could pass on to another. And you possess all these. And these make you special.
You have already achieved great heights yet you remain humble. You are remarkable for having preserved yourself in the midst of commercialism and materialism, greed and envy, and self-interest and selfishness. Keep fighting for what you think is right, even if it gets frustratingly painful sometimes. You are not a quitter, and I know you would never raise the white flag (but you are allowed to take time-offs).
You deserve to be praised, and you are worthy of your dreams. You are bountifully blessed, and you are a blessing to many others. You are an inspiration to the people you meet. You are sunshine; never let anyone dull your glow.
There are very few people like you, who are pure of heart, and I am so blessed to have known you. You are a wonderful, wonderful person — you have a beautiful mind and a beautiful heart — and I adore you. •
