Backtrack // Da Vinci

A polymath. This is how we call an individual whose expertise lies in many different areas of thought. Possibly the most recognized polymath in history is Leonardo da Vinci — a painter, a sculptor, an artist, an inventor, an engineer, a biologist, a scientist, a philosopher, a writer... All these and more was he.

I was privileged to have visited the traveling Da Vinci exhibit at the Mind Museum in Taguig City sometime last year with my sister and a few friends.

There were “life-sized, interactive replications of his inventions ... faithfully crafted by Italian artisans” and “reproductions of his amazingly accurate and detailed anatomical drawings” featured in the exhibit. All these clearly captured the genius that he is, his insatiable curiosity and limitless imagination, and his credo in life, that is, to “learn all there is to learn.”
