Matter of time
I have been pretty busy and lazy last week that I failed to update this blog. Now that I am back to my sanity, I dare say I will keep this blog updated about the non-sense-ness of life as much as I can.
To begin: last week, like the other previous weeks, I put off the pleasure of reading and opted to watch films. Here are some of my thoughts.
In Time

The fusion of the essence of time and the theme of social injustice is well encapsulated in this film. I like how timely, yet modern and stylish the approach is. It makes you want to literally make every second count. ;) And by the way, I like Amanda Seyfried’s acting — always do.

Sex and the City

Thanks to my professor in Media Ethics and Public Relations, I got to watch Sex and the City which I really have no intention of watching... ever. For some reason, the first word in the movie title is a turn-off for me. (Blame my Catholic upbringing.) Anyway, I like it. It did not turn out to be what I thought it would be. It is, as Atty. Tin Punzalan would say, “the ultimate chic flick”.

Again, I say I like Amanda Seyfried’s acting. Aside from the lousy ending, I enjoyed everything else in this film.

Another controversial film because of a character’s nakedness. Do not get me wrong, I like Anne Hathaway, but I did not appreciate this film very much. There wasn’t so much about Maggie’s Parkinson’s disease, which I think is a really important part of the story, and there is just too much sex, which I don’t see as something necessary. •
