Quartering is a barbaric method of execution wherein each limb of the victim is tied to a horse, an ox, or any animal driven toward different directions. The idea is to tear the victim apart.

This is how I feel right now.

I am pulled toward different directions. I am expected to behave in contradicting manners.

To understand my father and that woman. To be more patient in dealing with her. To choose to be kind rather than to be right.

To be selfish just this one time. To claim the rights I rightfully own. To be honest with myself. To choose to be right and not to be kind.

To study well and get good grades, whereas good grades = tuition fee discounts. To be thrifty and to be practical. To spend my time and money intelligently.

To enjoy the remaining three semesters of my academic life. To meet people, to be with friends. To make mistakes. To experience new things. To learn and to not be limited.

I feel torn, y’know.
