Unplanned trip to Antipolo

26 October — Enrollment Day

But there’s more to that day than just our enrollment.

Marinette and I got to meet Via again. Via celebrated her birthday recently, and while we, the Auts, were invited to her surprise birthday bash, we weren’t able to join due to personal reasons.

But, I digress.

So, the original plan was to visit Rizal Park, Manila Zoo, National Museum, and some other places in the city that Marinette and I haven’t yet gone to. Instead, we found ourselves traveling via the LRT Line 2, on our way to the last station, en route to Antipolo.

Antipolo is about an hour of jeepney ride away from Marikina — which is an organized city, as I have seen that day — and, to me, looks like a combination of Tagaytay and Baguio. Minus the cold weather and the fog, of course.

Interestingly, in Antipolo, the church, a Catholic school, the COMELEC office, the city hall, the library, and the park are all just a few steps away from one another.

Funny, I brought almond and cashew nuts with me, for I thought we would be spending the afternoon picnicking (read: TAMBAY) or what-not. But we were in Antipolo, and Antipolo is the place of cashew nuts. Haha!

I’ll be back in Antipolo someday. ;) Cheers to our spontaneity!

P.S.: Sorry for not having pictures. I didn’t bring my camera that day. My memory card is messed up, and until now, I have no idea how to recover my files. See, I do not want to reformat it, y’know.
